This page supplements the Privacy Policy for residents of U.S. states with applicable privacy protections. A particular right depends on the relevant law, its coverage rules, the information involved, and any exemptions.
Types of rights
Applicable rights can include knowing about or accessing personal information, obtaining a portable copy, correcting inaccurate information, requesting deletion, and opting out of certain sales, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling. Some laws also provide rights concerning sensitive information, authorized agents, and appeals.
California information
California rights, where applicable, can include knowing the categories and specific pieces of information collected, understanding relevant sources, purposes and recipients, correction, deletion, and applicable opt-outs. See the Privacy Policy for the information and providers involved in the public website. A general business inquiry is not automatically outside privacy protections.
Requests and representatives
Use privacy@elephantpays.com or the postal address on the Privacy Requests page. Identify the right you wish to exercise and the service involved. A request may require verification, including appropriate authority for a representative.
Exceptions and fair treatment
Certain information may need to be retained or used for legal, security, contractual, or other permitted purposes. Exercising applicable privacy rights does not by itself remove those rights or justify unlawful discriminatory treatment.
Appeals
Where you have a right to appeal, email privacy@elephantpays.com with the subject “Privacy appeal,” the original request reference if available, and the reason for your appeal. You may also contact the regulator responsible for enforcing the applicable privacy law.
