Information to include
Tell us whether you are requesting access, correction, deletion, a copy of information, an opt-out, or another action. Identify the service and the email associated with your interaction. Include your state or country when relevant to the request.
Verification
Additional information may be needed to identify the relevant records or verify your authority. If someone acts on your behalf, include that fact so the appropriate authorization can be considered. Never send account passwords, card security codes, or unrelated financial documents.
Merchant and provider records
A merchant or provider may be independently responsible for some records. For a request concerning a bill or purchase, identify the issuing business so the responsible party can be determined.
Follow-up and appeals
If you need to follow up, include the date of your original request and any reference provided. Where applicable law provides a right to appeal a privacy decision, send an email to privacy@elephantpays.com with the subject “Privacy appeal” and explain the decision you want reviewed. Rights, response periods, and exceptions depend on the applicable law.
